The process for accessing the print heads on your printer for cleaning or repair vary slightly from printer to printer. Here’s a quick look at how to access the print heads for a variety of popular printers.

Epson 4900

The 4900 does not have any controls to move the head away from the capping station, so getting to the head is a bit tricky. Give the printer a command to print and soon as it starts pull the plug. This will release the head and allow you to move it to the left out of the way.

Epson 7900, 9900

The Epson 7900 and 9900 series printers have built-in commands to move the print heads away from the capping station. These instructions come with the purchase of our cleaning fluids.
